Here’s Gimpy the turkey looking a bit happier…she’s clearly much perkier than when she came here, perhaps because I spent the day making a little rainproof yard for her where she can get sun and air but be safe from dogs.

Her beauty is a bit unconventional, eh? I guess having a bristly penis protruding from one’s nose is not considered attractive by human standards.
I think they look a bit like vultures, but she’s very gentle and sweet (except yesterday when she accidentally met the dog, who now has a healthy fear of turkeys.)
